What is FSBO? FSBO is short for “For Sale by Owner. The term is used to identify property, usually homes, which are sold directly by the owner. Typically, owners advertise their properties by means of websites, classified ads and word of mouth as opposed to employing the services of an agent. Why is SpainDirect4U so effective? No. SpainDirect4U is not a franchise or sub-division of any other company. We are an independent, locally-owned company focusing only on the Costa Blanca and Costa Calida How do buyers hear about SpainDirect4U? Buyers hear about SpainDirect4U in many ways, including word of mouth, search engine advertising (i.e. Google, Yahoo etc.), fliers, sponsorships, for sale signs and our regular newsletters to our large database of clients looking to purchase in Spain. Sellers Questions Don’t I need a real estate agent to sell my home? No, absolutely not. Although it may seem new, SpainDirect4U, makes selling your home on your own easy! Our seller’s tips page gives many helpful pointers to help you undertake the process. How does a For Sale by Owner transaction work? Just like an agent-assisted sale! The seller has to 1) attract buyers to their home, 2) show their home to buyers and 3) negotiate the sale. You can accomplish this by advertising your home with SpainDirect4U and contacting a lawyer to help facilitate the process. What do I get when I list my home with SpainDirect4U? A lot! Visit the Listing Packages section to see what it costs based on the package that most suits you. What forms of payment do you accept for a SpainDirect4U listing? You have the option of paying your listing fee with your Credit/Debit Card online via PayPal including MasterCard, VISA, American Express and many more. What is PayPal? It's accepted by merchants everywhere, both on and off eBay. Is it safe to use? PayPal helps protect your credit card information with industry-leading security and fraud prevention systems. Shop and pay conveniently by saving your information with PayPal. What type of home characteristics can I include in my listing? SpainDirect4U has a very extensive application, (over 250 options) which allows you to display a descriptive listing of your home online. You can be as vague or specific as you’d like. Usually, the more information you provide, the better and more enquiries you will receive. Numerous categories make it easy for buyers to get information on your home. Once I submit my SpainDirect4U application online, when will my listing be active? Your SpainDirect4U listing will be active immediately. Once you have paid online, funds are cleared straight away. We don’t want to hold you up so add your description, photos and additional information. SpainDirect4U is a “real time business” so there is no delay at all. Do I have to supply home photos for my SpainDirect4U listing? Yes if you choose the pro package (in JPEG format at 500x375 pixels for horizontal photos or 500x375 pixels for vertical photos). For your main listing photo, we recommend a horizontal image so that it displays correctly in the Featured Listing on the homepage or in the search results. If however you choose the plus package then we will visit you home and take the photos for you during the home visit. How long will my home be advertised on SpainDirect4U? For one year from when the listing goes live. You can always remove it earlier, if you change your mind and take it of the market or when it sells. Can I edit or modify my SpainDirect4U listing? Yes. You can you have direct access and we encourage adverts to be changed from time to time perhaps to attract a different type of viewer. Do I need to notify you when my house has SOLD? Yes please. You can notify us when you have a Sale Pending as well. You can update your listing to reflect the change in the sale status. Once SOLD, you can remove the listing to protect your privacy. Buyers Questions How do I search SpainDirect4U listings? It’s easy! Just click on the Buyers tab at the top of the page and scroll down to “View All Listings”. You can also narrow your search by available cities, number of bedrooms, bathrooms or price by clicking the “Quick Search” link or additionally use the “Search by resort” link from the same menu. Can I sign up to receive automatic email notifications regarding new listings in the area? Yes, simply register your details including your ideal type of property and every time a match is added you will be notified by e-mail. Where can I find a list of industry professionals that can help me throughout the buying process? SpainDirect4U has, over the past 6 years, worked with a wide variety of companies that can assist you with the purchase and pro purchase process, once you’re a pro package member of SpainDirect4U you can obtain your unique code which will entitle you to up to 10% from their prices.
